I am mid-march between St Kilda Marina and Station Pier (desperately trying to work off the pounds gained during an uber-indulgent weekend in the Yarra Valley) when I come across temptation. You know that iconic Edwardian bathing pavilion-turned-average kiosk at the top of Kerferd Road Pier? Well, in a matter of days it is to become Nshry, having had a lot of wood attached to its exterior and a complete re-fit inside. It looks like it is shaping up to be a very cool little hang out and will initially be serving breakfast and lunch, before offering a dinner service. No sample menus when I stopped by, but will call back asap. In the meantime, there is a hatch on one side serving ice creams and sorbets in cones, tubs and waffle cups. The perfect pick-me-up for when you’ve bitten off more walking than you can handle. My advice? Head up Kerford Road and take a nap in Albert Park.
